Privacy Policy

What we collect. To run your search: the name and details of the person who died, your name and email address, and payment confirmation from Stripe (we never see or store card numbers). When you browse: privacy-respecting analytics.

What we do with it. We use the details you provide to search the official probate records, order documents, and email them to you. We use your email to deliver documents and answer questions. We do not sell personal data and do not send marketing unless you opt in.

Sensitivity. We understand this information relates to a bereavement and we handle it with care. Order details are shared only with HMCTS/GOV.UK as needed to fulfil your order.

Retention. Order records are kept for up to 24 months for support and legal purposes, then deleted.

Processors. Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Vercel (hosting).

Your rights. Request a copy or deletion of your data any time at hello@probatecheck.co.uk.
